Resume Sample: Engineer ‘Skills’ section

We thought we would include a sample of what a good “Skills” section should contain. This is taken from a real resume and the client secured an interview, aced it, and is currently working for the firm. Find out what worked for him.
So what does a good ‘Skills’ section look like? See below! You can use this information for any industry or profession.We have a few points to discuss regarding the chart below:

Section Title
We typicall craft a good section title to illustrate key skills employers are looking for. You won’t see “Skills” listed on our resumes as we feel there are other and better terms that are more powerful and better market your profile.
How do you know what to put in your “skilled” section?
Keep it simple and directly related to the role that you are applying to. In our case above, all items are directly related to the role. We omit information that can confuse the person recruiting for the position.
